Legal Question in Business Law in Michigan
I was told by someone that as soon as I place a bill payment in the mail that it was considered delivered. I paid a bill by mail, it was postdated the day before it was due. The credit company is now wanting a late payment of $35 because they didn't receive it until after the due date. I argued with them that it was in the mail before the due date and I shouldn't owe a late fee. Is this true? Is a bill payment considered made once it is in the post office's hands?

Normally a credit card company's user agreement would specify the due date. Ask them to provide you with a copy of the agreement.
