Legal Question in Business Law in Michigan
I write daily menus (including recipes) for the restaurant that i work for. If I leave and open my own place, can I use those or do they belong to my current employer?

As a Franchise Attorney I can say the following. If you are an employee, the recipes belong to your employer. If you are not an employee, but an independent contractor, then they may or may not belong to the employer. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
