Wrongful Termination
Could there be a potetnial lawsuit for a person being terminated from employment (management) for an act committed 6 months prior, was known by upper management at the time of the incident, and later terminated for the act?

This depends heavily on the terms of the employment contract, if one existed. You should review the contract carefully, and perhaps ask an attorney to review for guidance in interpreting termination provisions.
If there was no employment contract, Michigan is at 'at-will' employment state and employment can typically be terminated for any reason as long as the reason is not contrary to constitutionally-provided protections.
