Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Michigan
children fighting
My two sons were involved in a fight after another kid pushed my oldest boy. The boys involved ( including my boys ) are in 7th and 8th grade. After he pushed my oldest boy, he got pushed back and fell to the ground. When he got up, he attacked my youngest son as well. My boys beat him up, and now his mom is trying to press charges. My boys both have several bruises from this kid as well. Can she sue us for this? Can we counter sue if she does? All the other kids ( that were there) have stated that my kids didnt start it. They just finished it. Noone was seriously injured, it was just an after school fight.

Re: children fighting
She can press charges. It is another matter whether the prosecutor decides to take the case. Anyone can sue anyone for anything. It is another matter to win. Bill Stern 248-353-9400
