Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Michigan
Dirty Cops?
My husband was pulled over, they accused him of swirving on snowy roads. They told him right away to get out of the car and they put him in hand cuffs and left him with the k-9 dog in the front of the car. Then they searched the car and came back with a tiny bag saying that it was heroin. He gave it to my husband and told him to look at it.I know me and my husband dont do drugs. They told him to give them money or they were going to take him to jail.So he gave him the money because he knew that the drugs were not his.We need to know what to do.All they do is harrass my husband, and we cant do anything about it, because we dont have any proof.

Re: Dirty Cops?
This is an easy one. first of all, you didn't say what the cops are doing to "harrass" your husband. Did they charge him with a crime after he paid the bribe? If they were going to take a bribe, why didn't they just search him on the spot and take his money? If your husband can pass a lie detector test, then go to the FBI with your story. Also, go to the chief of the police department involved. If your husband refuses to take the lie detector test, start questioning that story. The reason that it sounds like BS, is that too many cops would have to be involved. One dirty cop, maybe. Two, much less likely. Three, the story is BS. William S. Stern
