What is the legal definition for entrapment. What guidelines do the police have to abide by.

Entrapment generally is when law enforcement sets up a set of circumstances which entices one into comitting a crime when otherwise s/he would not do so.

The entrapment defense is tricky because it requires that one admit to the crime as a condition of raising the defense. If the jury doesn't believe the acccused, there is nothing left to determine.
