Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Michigan
my friend and i put on a fund raiser for my brother who has stage 4 melanoma, the flyer stated it was for his expenses. i had a verbal agreement between my brother and i that the money we raised would go into a seperate acct. that my mother and i opened. this is because his wife would spend it on herself. now she is taking me to court. it is still in the acct. and its been one big nightmare. could i get in trouble if i was to take that money and put it all on a medical bill at the hospital? i dont want to deal with it anymore. thanks

You do not state what claims your brother's wife has to the money you raised for your brother. Why don't you wait to see if she actually files a claim...and then have a lawyer review the claim to see if there is any merit at all.
