Is a promissry note legal, even if themoney borrowed was for ilegal

A promissory note is legal and can be sued upon wihout presenting any other evidence. However, I doubt that you have a genuine promissory note.
If it doesn't include the words "pay to the order of", you have something that resembles a contract and evidence of illegal activity can be admitted.
