Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Michigan
How long is it possible to hold statutory rape charges against someone? My other half gave consent to me at the age of 15, and unfortunately I'm 19. they're a month near 16. Not the required age limit for sexual consent. Their parents are holding it against me so they'll stop talking to me. My biggest question is how long can they threaten that? Is it permanently or until they are of a certain age? Are they any tips as to what I can do about the situation? State of Michigan, though the events happened in Indiana.
Thank you.

Check with a lawyer in Indiana. It would be required to be brought there.
