Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Michigan

Mediation in the US Dstrict Court

I currently have a 42 USC 1983 action pending, against the Michigan Department of Corrections, in the US District Court for the Eastrn District of Michigan. I cannot find a lawyer to handle this even though I have survived summary diposition and the Cler entereda Default against one (1) of the defendants. My question is, ''can I do a Motion for Mediation?'' I start college next week and I am tired of handeling this action by myself.

Please let me know about your case. I can at least help you walk through the process, even if you handle it mostly yourself. Mediation is always a possibility, but you need to be in the best position possible before you go in.

Tell me about your case and I'll tell you why you cannot find a lawyer. Maybe you will be able to find a lawyer. Tell me the facts without embelishing. What district are you in. If you are in the Southern District of Michigan, chances are your case will go to mediation (case evaluation) without a request.
