Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Michigan
Having a minor child's babtism
Can a non-custodial parent have a child recieve a babtism with out the custodial parents consent. Can a church perform a babtism with out attempting to contact the custodial parent and then perform one?

Re: Having a minor child's babtism
It matters if you have joint legal custody. If you do have joint legal but not physical custody, then you had better discuss the matter with the other parent before doing something likely to offend. If you do not have either legal or physical custody, then once again, you'd better not do it as it would be likely to offend and may cause you to forfeit further non-supervised visitation. William S.
