Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Michigan

Miranda Rights

How do the Miranda rights apply to paralegals? If a paralegal is doing interrogatories or such, how do the miranda rights apply, if or at all? if they don't apply, then why not?

Thank you!

Re: Miranda Rights

Miranda warnings are (1) the right to remain silent, (2) the right to counsel, (3) the right to terminate interrogation once begun. Miranda warnings are required to be given by law enforcement to a person in custody when a statement is to be taken.

I cannot imagine any circumstances under which this would involve a paralegal in any way unless the paralegal is a law enforcement officer.

Non law enforcement personnel are not require to deliver Miranda warnings under any circumstances.
