Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Michigan

Missed Settlement Hearing what can be done now?

A friend missed his settlement hearing in a driving on suspended charge in Kent County. He was looking at a maximum of 30-days in jail with work release. What happens now? Does the county come looking for him? Should he go turn himself in? Should he talk to his lawyer first? How does this affect his sentance?

He should obtain a lawyer. The lawyer will then make arrangements for the friend to turn himself in. I guarantee you there is a bench warrant for his arrest. He will be arrested at a very inconvenient time. Bill Stern 248-353-9400
