Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Michigan
narcotic transfer
my stepson was given a vicodin for pain, by his mother, he is 16, it was not his prescription it was either his mothers or his stepfathers, a childs doseage would not be as high, why is it leagal for her to transfer a prescription that was not prescribed to her son, i know i would be in jail for this if i gave my 20 yr old a vicodin as well if i bought my minor son cigarettes or alcohol as i had to go to cigarette class when my son got caught with them, so why does the law not stand behind this law? i called child protective and they let it go, because the boy was ok, what does it take someone to be dead from a reaction to this because the 16 yr old is also on addrell xr for adhd and that as well is a narcotic, and could have caused alot of problems. would it be worth it to file a complaint with the local police?

It has been this lawyer's experience that his clients have always regretted asking the authorities to intervene in family matters such as the one you have posted.
