Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Michigan
Problem Neighbor Harassing family
We have a neighbor that is going to great lengths to cause us trouble. We live in the country and they have turned us in for burning trash on our property, twice. We have talked to the township and chief at the fire department and are in accordance to the law. They are now calling the EPA on burning b/c we have a beauty shop. They also stated this is a small matter. At what point do their actions become harassment where we can take action against them for their constant complaining?

Re: Problem Neighbor Harassing family
You really have to questionm whether you want to sue them. The cause of action may be abuse of process or intentional infliction of emotional distress. Maybe a strong letter from a laywer would do the job. William S. Stern
