Smoking ban

My county just passed a smoking ban last night. They opened the meeting with a Christian prayer. Is this legal?

Re: Smoking ban

No. It is not legal to open a governmental meeting with a Christian prayer. On the other hand, you are not going to change the minds of a bunch of fools. If it really bothers you, and it should, contact the American Civil Liberities Union. Perhaps they can get an injunction to prevent this from happening in the future. William S. Stern
