Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Michigan
My son was pulled over last night for not driving well. The police office asked him out of his car and abruptly hand cuffed him. Then the officer said he didn't look very well and took him to the hospital and left. He never gave my son a ticket or anything and when I talked to him he said he my son told him he was driving under the influence of prescription drugs and that was what he will be charged for. Can they give a ticket the next day? My son is going into rehab. Do we need to get a lawyer? Should.'t he have gotten a ticket at the scene? Thank you. Lynne

Tickets do not have to be given at the scene. He should get a lawyer immediately and do not speak to the police. He may have defenses. Visit www.kliszlaw.com to discuss. Tim Klisz
