Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Michigan

My step-son is in jail, while there he got another charge. His court app. lawyer said he can not help him. He wants to fire his lawyer, the court said he can not. Is this true? My son did not do what they said he did. He is looking at ten year's for something he did not do. This is just so the jail can cover one of their mistake's.

Your son has 3 options:

1. hire his own attorney

2. represent himself ( i do not advise this option)

3. proveto the judge that his attorney is not communicating with him and is failing to do his job meaning (investigating the case, taking depositions, ect)

Unfortunately, your son can't get a new or different attorney just becuase he doesn't like him.
