Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Michigan
Can you sue to get your money back if someone sells you something different than what you thought you were buying? I bought a what I thought was a yorkie almost two years ago and now finding out while doing research online because she is pregnant that she is a silkie terrier and not a yorkie can I sue to get my money back or half? They defrauded me and claimed she was a yorkshier terrier on the paperwork and on her CKC papers and as a puppy their was no way for me to tell. I don't want to give her back but it runs into issues for me now that she is pregnant with puppies. Please help thanks

Your question sounds like you intended to sell the puppies that this dog will soon produce, but the sale of these animals will not result in as much money as you would like. Since it took you almost 2 years to determine that the dog was not the breed that you thought she was, it is unlikely that a court would be willing to recind your agreement with the seller or award you money damages. If you believe that the breeder fraudulently issued papers, contrary to CKC rules, you may file a report with that group. It is highly unlikely that the seller would accept your giving the (now pregnant) dog back, so do the dog a favor and have her spayed after she delivers her pups, and either keep her as your pet, or find a better home for her.
