Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Michigan

Verbal Abuse

I was court mandated to an outpatient rehab program. The counselor encouraged us to share our feelings and I shared my emotional experience with a stalker and how he tried to ruin my life. The counselor replied ''Man you must be a real BITCH for that guy to do that stuff to you.'' Is it unlawful for him to say that? He holds a CAC-1 license (certified alcohol couselor level 1) I was scared to tell anyone and felt helpless since he is the owner of the rehab facility. Is there some agency I can report him to? Does it matter that this occurred 6 months ago?

Re: Verbal Abuse

de minimis non curat lex: The law does not concern itself with trifles.

If you're clean and sober you should have reached a point in your life when you stop whining and take charge of your life.

Have you really been stewing about this rather mild insult for 6 months? Remember, resentment only harms the bearer.

No lawyer I know would give any consideration to your complaint.
