Legal Question in Technology Law in Michigan

computer

i took my computer into a repair shop because it stopped working. they gave me a pretty short list of things that were wrong. so i said i will pay whatever for it to work again. they installed several new pieces of hardware. this also took about 2 weeks longer than predicted by them. they returned it to me. i paid $420+ on this repair. when i took it home. i turned it on and it crashed. is there a way to get my money back, or to have them finish the repair for free?

Re: computer

You'd have to check the terms of your contract with them and if there was any warranty given, and what it included. I would contact the manager of the store immediately and alert him to what happened to see what they will offer you.

If you sued them, you'd have to prove - possibly through an expert - that your computer crash was as a direct result of their work.

If you need legal assistance, please contact me.

Thanks.
