Mulitplayer Game Cheats

I'm wondering if it's illegal to sell cheats for games such as aimbot, wallhack, esp, etc. The cheats I'm talking about are made from C++/C from either the games SDK, or OPENGL. People have been asking me to make them cheats for a lot of money, and I'd like to know if it's something I could do, or if I'd have the FBI on me.

P.S - Not all the games are open source.

Have you developed the "cheats" or are the derived from the software code of the original games?

That may determine whether you are on solid ground or thin ice.
