Credit
I had a creditor mail me just the other day about a computer I had 6 years ago. 6 years ago the computer went into collections with the creditor I mad 2 payments to them and the never recieved a bill until the other day the bill was under $1000 and now is over $4000

Re: Credit
Sounds suspicious, because that implies a massive rate of interest and there are state laws covering consumer contracts.
On the other hand, you don't state that you gave the computer back, so.... you've had it all this time and not paid for it? Hmmm.
By now it's probably with a collection company, so try to negotiate.
Re: Credit
If the last payment you made was more than six years ago, the statute of limitations has expired which means you are probably off the hook for the debt. However, having said that, I do not condone taking expensive merchandise and not honoring your agreement to pay for it whether you received a bill or not. You should have followed up with the creditor when you did not receive regular statements.
