While in the military I had a son in the country of Italy. He now has both U.S. Citizenship and Italian Citizenship. Would he be able to run for the Presidency of the United States.

Not unless the United States Constitution is amended. Article II, governing the Chief Executive, limits this one position to someone who is a "natural born" citizen. While it may seem to be unfair, this was a deliberate condition written into the Constitution allegedly to insure that our President was truly "American." But, that is the ONLY such limitation your son will face.
