Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Michigan

My wife and I were falsely accused,arrested and held for over 48 hours without charges. After being in jail what I estimated to be eight hours, the Detroit police broke down the door to my house and after performing a search left my house open to the wilds. They realeased us, later charged us but in the end all charges were dismissed.I would like to be compensated for my property that was damaged and I do not know how to proceed. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer us.
