Selling Lumber

I worked on a large building project 2 years ago and noticed that they were wasting and throwing away a lot of material. I asked my boss, the construction manager, if I could have some of the lumber that they were going to throw away. He said yes. It has been in my garage for 2 years and I haven't used much of it. I will be moving soon and I do not wish to take it with me. Can I sell it?

if it was given to you, then it is yours. so why couldn't you sell it?
