auto dealer back out of signed deal
Two days i traded in my passat for a lease on a new pathfinder, my fiance signed as the primary and i as the secondary, they agreed to pay off my passat and lease me the new car. We signed the contract now today they are saying because of bad credit i cant be on the loan. they either want the car back or to put it all in his name. is this legal? we have the contract can they back out and take the car back?

Re: auto dealer back out of signed deal
Probably not. You would have to have the transaction and the contract reviewed by an attorney. For starters, I would respond exactly as you have set forth in your question. Tell them the contract is enforceable and the transaction completed. If the contract is not contingent on a credit check or some other issue, then the transaction should be enforceable.
Good luck.
