Legal Question in Consumer Law in Michigan

Boats without registrations

I am a manager of a condominium complex. I am also the treasurer. An owner over the week end gave 6 boats away that I had already sold for 150 dollars each( he did not think they were worth anything). The boats were given away with out registrartions . and to top it off it was a local marina boat dealer that took them. Is their a law that states that if a person ( or dealer) knows fair market price , they have to pay or inform the owner?. who do I sue the owner that gave them away with no authorization to do so, or the dealer that took advantage of the stupid guy and knew they had value ? and the boats are all still registered to me ???

Re: Boats without registrations

The owner of the boats is entitled to dispose of them as he wishes. If you and the owner had some other arrangement other than giving them to a marina, your only recourse is against him for breach of an oral contract.
