If you buy a car from a priviet owen as is are you covered by law and can you return it within 72 hours for a refund.

Likely no, unless it was provided for in any contract or bill of sale signed by the seller. If there was fraud or a material misrepresentation made about the car, you may have other causes of action you could pursue.
