datacenter holding my equipment hostage

I have about 5000$ worth of servers at a datacenter. I was working for them in exchange for the service and space for the servers. They hired a new person and no longer need me part time. They now say I will owe them 755$ for next month on my space/service. I have not signed a contract with them and explained I was not using that much in service and would like to just be charged from now on for what im using (which amounts to about 250 a month) they just continue to say I will owe them 755 for next month. I owe them nothing as of now, but they disabled my access card so I can not get into the datacenter to remove my equipment. I told them I didnt want the service if I couldnt downgrade it to what I actually use and I'll clean up the equipment by the 30th. They never answered me and dont return phone calls. I have bills of sale for the equipment and an inventory. I just have no idea how to go from here. I have been reasonable with them but they are unwilling to listen and dont care. They are holding my equipment and demanding I pay $755 starting next month. I just want to cancel or downgrade. Any ideas on how to get my equipment back? This is in the stats of michigan.
