Legal Question in Consumer Law in Michigan
My fiance and I are in the process of possibly purchasing a used vehicle. We hit a bump in the plan when we realized how much insurance would be. Our salesman started to, well, be a salesman and harass us with constant phone calls in one day. He asked if we wanted him to run some quotes on insurance and we said no, our insurance agent is re-quoting and we would get back to him the next day and we needed to sleep as wer are night shift workers. He would not leave us alone. 7 hours later I received a text message from an unknown number (I'm assuming is an insurance agent, will find out today) saying that he found insurance for much cheaper and the salesman told him to text me. He also mentioned in the text how many points are on my fiance's driving record (pretty sure that isn't legal either as my fiance did not authorize anyone to release that information to me). Not only did we not authorize him to give our information to anyone except for the financing application but we specifically told him verbally that we didn't want him quoting insurance for us. I feel like this is breaking some law, anything? Michigan or federal?

No laws are violated. Run away and buy from an owner. Dealers are pure ripoffs
