Legal Question in Consumer Law in Michigan
Food Allergy / Restaurant Negligence
I ate at a major chain restaurant chain last night. I gave the waitress an alert card that lists all of my allergies to give to the chef.
She brings our meal and my card to the table. After a few bites, I bit into an onion which is the main thing I am allergic to. My wife and I left the restaurant and I was then rushed to the hospital and treated.
My question is; What course of action will I be able to take. This clearly falls under negligence, but I feel that there may be more recourse possible. What do the legal minds think?
Thank You,
Mike in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan
