if i have made all of my house payments to date as opposed to my contract can a morgage company foreclose and sell my property?

It depends on the stage of the foreclosure. If you are within the redemption period, then you should be fine. If not, then you may have the ability to negotiate with the lender to get the property back, but they don't have to. Get a formal opinion,--the most important one is going to be from the financial institution.
