Legal Question in Consumer Law in Michigan

I purchased a car from a private seller on June 2, 2011, & at the seller told me that there were no major issues with the car, he wrote that on the receipt & also wrote he would refund my money if there were any major problems. He then took me to his mechanic, & the mechanic lifted the hood & took it on a test drive & he also said the car was mechanically sound, but he noticed the speedometer wasn't working & said I would only need a speed sensor. After speakin with the mechanic the seller wrote up another receipt saying that the mechanic has checked the car out & the original receipt was voided, & no other warranties on car. He also said the car was at 91,000 miles, however upon driving it it showed that the miles were not changing. Two days later on June 4, 2011 the transmission went out in the car.Do I have a lawsuit against him/even the repair shop that the mechanic works at?

Yes. And you might be the victim of odometer fraud. How much did you pay for the car?
