Legal Question in Consumer Law in Michigan
I purchased an item via phone order in January of 2013. I put approximately 50% of the purchase price on a credit card at that time. The item was shipped to me a few weeks later, yet I was never charged the balance. Now, after 51 weeks, I received an email asking for the rest of the payment, stating that the accounting department just found that only partial payment was made. Does this company have any legal recourse against me?

Yes. Of course.
You think it's free?
Would you be happy if they never sent you anything and just billed you?
Do the right thing. Pay your bill.
