Legal Question in Consumer Law in Michigan

I purchased a vechile from a dealership. It was a cash sale with a trade in. I took passesion of the truck, they signed a purchase agreement, they transforred my plates to it and insured it. I owe a one time payment to the dealer. The payment was to be made a few days. That payment was delayed until the 30th of this month. I have had it for 2 weeks and have put $1056.00 in repairs. The dealer called me and told me to return the truck they will not wait until the 30th. I told them I wanted my trade in and my money for the repairs and they said no. They said bring it back or they were going to have me arrested for theft of the truck...... Can they do that ?

It doesn't make any sense to me. Unless there is some allegation of fraud, I think they're nuts. I would have to examine your facts deeper. Contact me at kliszlaw.com to discuss. Tim Klisz

You may be the victim of a yo-yo sale. This is also known as a spot delivery sale. This violates your rights under state and federal law.

Here is what you MUST do. First, place all the paperwork that you have from this sale in a safe place. Do not keep it in the car. If your car gets repossessed, they will destroy the paperwork. Then, see a lawyer that knows how to handle these cases.

Call me if you would like.
