Legal Question in Consumer Law in Michigan
Refund for cancelled order
Two years ago a company purchased 16K worth of time clocks and custom programming. They gave me a deposit of 8k(50%). After we did all the custom work and were trying to set up a delivery date, they cancelled the order. At the time(2 years ago) I offered them a 2,200.00 refund. This was based on a 30% restocking fee and I was going to keep all the custom programming fee's. They felt this was unaccaptable and hung the phone on me and never called back.
Now 2 years later they have called asking about a refund. Becuase it was a custom job, it was not something I could sell to another customer. As I am not the manufacurer of the clocks, I did have to pay my supplier for everthing.
I feel that I should'nt give them anything at this point.
What are my options?
Am I required to refund them anything?

Re: Refund for cancelled order
most of this will depend on your written contract. Beyond that, they will have to sue you, and you will need to defend. Visit www.kliszlaw.com to discuss. Tim Klisz
