Legal Question in Consumer Law in Michigan

I responded to a post on craigslist for Ebay posters. The guy and myself agreed to meet so I could pick up some items. There were no writen agreements, it wsa all verbal. He said it would be a 60/40 split he gets 60 I get 40, I agreed. I take the items, I post them on Ebay only 2 items sell, his profit at this point is 19.50 mine is 12.99. He texts me and says its not working out bring his items back to him. I tell him he can have them but he will have to come pick them up. He lives in Howell, Mi and I live in Ypsilanti, Mi. This is a good 2.5 hour round trip. He says keep 10 and bring me the items. I tell him I can not do it but he can pick them up. we go back and forth and he finally treathens me with calling the police. He says that he has the whole transaction on camera (which i did not know about) and I can speak to them. My concern is A. I didnt know you was taping us and B. I am not trying to have charges brought against me. Do I have an legal rights in this?

Sure. It's not illegal to tape, so if that is incriminating, you are in trouble. If not, who cares. The police are not likely to get involved in a 20$ civil dispute between you. If the police actually contact you, say nothing and get an attorney.
