Legal Question in Consumer Law in Michigan

Screw in my salad!

My mother brought some leftovers from a local reataurant. I opened the take out bag and started eatting. I didn't see the screw because it was hidden. I eat my salad with pita bread. As I was chewing I felt a forgein object in my mouth. I didn't know if my tooth my took was coming out, I nearly choked. I spit out the food and found a screw it was very rusty. After a couple of minutes I startd to get buring sensation in my throat. I went to an Urgent Care hospital to get treated; I got a tecnas shot.

The resturant don't want to pay for the medical bill and I really would like to sue. Do I have a case?

Re: Screw in my salad!

Yes. It was negligent to leave a screw in your food and you have damages because of it.
