Legal Question in Consumer Law in Michigan

I just spent $5600 to have a leaking basement fixed. I was referred to the b dry company by two different real estate agents. The b dry agent on the work order noted the basement wall was bowed. I had not noticed this before. He did not explain the significance of the wall or even mention it to me at all. The work was done about a month ago and since, the basement smells probably even more musty then it did before. The wall that was buckling now has an large gaping crack that is obvious and definately was not their prior to the work. I have since done some investigation over the internet and have learned that the work probably made the foundation problem worse since the company did nothing to relieve the pressure against the bowed wall outside of my home which is what my home needs.

Do I have any legal way of recovering the money I'm out since I will have to have expensive foundation work along with outside drain tile replacement or am I just out that money?

You should have an attorney represent you in trying to achieve a refund or a settlement. Your argument is that as an expert, the agent should have informed you of the preexisting conditions that would be affected. Undoubtedly you can find another expert who say that they would have informed you of the risks. If you would like my assistance, please contact me at [email protected].
