can I sue a rental company for the cost of furniture replacement and the cost of ridding my home of bed bugs?

Yes, you will have to prove that they represented to you that their furniture was free of bugs. That they knew that their furniture had bugs. That you reasonably relied on their misrepresentation that the furniture was free of bugs, and that you incurred damages as a direct result of the bugs. The damage claimed must be a foreseeable and consequential damage. Eradication probably, replacement of furniture probably not.
