Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

2nd Suing by Discover Card

Discover card sued me for non-payment because they wouldn't take the amount that I could afford to pay. The Judge threw the case out of court over 6 months ago. I have now been contacted by a different Law firm trying to collect again. I have not used this card in over 4 years and made payments until Jan.2001 when they called and said I had to make larger payments I told them I had been unable to work and would have to make the payments as I was able and was told they would not accept them, so I just didn't pay. My question is can they sue a second time after the Judge has dismissed the case?

Re: 2nd Suing by Discover Card

It depends on if it was dismissed with prejudice or not. However, if you're having trouble paying all of your bills you should contact a bankruptcy attorney or a credit counselor.
