Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

I am a 53 year old single mom and got a credit card two years ago for my daughter when she had her baby. She promised to keep up on the payments and I thought all was good till recently I received calls from Chase Visa that the credit card was up over $17,000.00 dollars!! They tell me she hasn't made a payment since February. I can't pay that, they said they needed a payment of $2800.00 and that it is definetly affecting my credit. I am beside myself. My friend was telling me something about debt relief where they will settle for a lot less money. I have always had excellent credit and can't believe my daughter has done this to me. I have other credit cards that I keep up the payments on and just don't know what to do.

You should cancel the card asap. Then if they are suing you, I can help. If you have too much debt, maybe bankruptcy is in order. Visit www.kliszlaw.com to discuss. Tim Klisz
