Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

I had a car repossed from me by Credit Acceptance Corporation in 1995. My state taxes were garnished this year to repay this debt. They claim they have a judgement against me from 2007. I was never sued by them (to my knowledge) and the judgement does not appear on my credit. Credit Acceptance Corporation is known for its sneaky tactics. Is there any way to have this corrected?
