Company trying to collect money for job not being completed

I took my son to the dentist for a consultation on getting braces.the dentist said to early for him but suggested brackets to pull his teeth down.this would be 800.00.i agreed and they were put on.after 2 months dentist said he needed a bite plate, he removed the brackets and gave him bite plate.know his teeth are back the way they were and they never gave him his brackets to finish the job,but they want the rest of the money for the finished job.they are threatening collections.i still owe 500.00 but that was for a job completed.please help i would be willing to finish paying if they would finish job.what could i do to stop this action?

You should first try to talk to the dentist about the situation and tell him why you believe the charges were unfair and excessive, and ask for completion of the job promised. If he does not respond, tell him you will be hiring an attorney and then hire an attorney. Then you need to find a new dentist.
