Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

credit card cash advance

I have a credit card company that is pursuing me with a lawsuit for a cash advance that I did over 15 years ago in Michigan. Is this legal? Am I still obligated to pay this? Should I go to court to fight this?
