credit card debt

can credit card companies seize my bank account and my cd's.I am on total disability ssa . I was forced to sell my house and live in a camper. I have only 3 bills,all credit card debt totaling 33k. Should I file chapter 7 or just don't pay them. my only income is $1125.00 ssa. While working my income was 4k a month. I do have 40k in cd's in joint names and 4k in bank. can they seize my bank account? Thanks.

Yes, they can seize your assets if they have a proper judgment and order.

Sounds like you need to file Ch 7. If you can't pay them, they are going to keep harassing you. Make an appt at a credit counseling place, such as Greenpath, who will input all your income and expenses and see if you would qualify for a payment plan under their program.
