Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

Had a credit card in my name. it was part of the divorce 2003 that my ex-husband to pay it. he filed Bankruptcy. 2004...now 2010 I am being sued for it. I did not ignore the many many creditors that have called and written me letters. I would send them a copy of the decree and then and different creditor would contact me...this has gone on ever since...until I sent them a siest and desist letter. What should I do I did do the Answer and now have a pre trial date. I do not have a lawyer and am a stay at home mom. I did how ever pay my debt that was deemed liable to me from the divorce. Please help.

Your creditor doesn't care if you are divorced or that he us now responsible for the debt by the terms of the judgment. You signed the contract and they can come after you. Your recourse is to pay the debt and then go after him or go back to court to enforce the judgment.
