Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan
My credit and wifes credit
I have been divorce and have now remarried and my credit is terrible and my new wife credit is awesome and we have a Best Buy credit card together and I pay the bill on time all the time, but recently I tried to up the credit line and they denied her. I make 60,000/yr plus 15% bonus potential and she makes 120,000/yr plus 30% bonus potential. Our current limit is 10,000 dollars. We only have a mortage which is in her name and the last we check her credit score is 785 and then 815 when we bought our car which we paid off in 2 payment of $4500 and $4500 after a 6000.00 down payment.
Can my past credit affect hers?

Re: My credit and wifes credit
Because you have a Best Buy credit card together, your credit is taken into consideration. You can fix your credit however. You simply need to write to the three major credit reporting agencies disputing the negative references.
