Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Michigan

Creditors trying to collect, but my spouse and I lost our jobs.

Creditors call to collect, but my husband and I both lost our jobs. I tried debt consolidation and they said they couldn't help. They said with unemployment and child support, I would still be in the negative with household bills. I called the collection agency and told them this. They were not concerned with my efforts. I was very shocked when she asked me, ''what was the point of getting my daughter if I had no home?'' To me that was like a threat. Are they even allow to say stuff like? Also, they said legal actions will occur if I don't handle this situation within a month? Would you have any advice? Deseparetely in need of help and legal advice?

I see numerous violations of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA)which could entitle you to money damages. Please call me at (248) 679-1552 to discuss your legal options.
